Krasnodar Region's Vice-Governor meets Deputy Chairman of Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government

The event took place during the visit of the Krasnodar Region delegation to the Russia–China Trade and Industry Exhibition. The EXPO is held in the city of Harbin, People's Republic of China.

«For the Krasnodar Region, the People's Republic of China is a strategic partner. Ties between Krasnodar, the capital of our region, and Harbin have been developing for almost 20 years. During this time, strong humanitarian, educational, and cultural links have been established. Today, we have a solid foundation on which to build a dynamic and mutually beneficial regional partnership. We are ready to cooperate in the humanitarian sphere, the industrial agriculture, IT, and tourism, and we are interested in joint investment projects,» said Alexander Ruppel.

According to the Deputy Governor, 18 businesses in the Krasnodar Region are prepared to supply more than 4 thousand products to China, including oils, flour, pasta, confectionery, sugar, tinned meat, dairy products, cheeses, sausages, and convenience foods. Enterprises in the region are also ready to increase their production volumes.

During the meeting, the Chinese delegation expressed interest in expanding cooperation with the Krasnodar Region, particularly with regard to the supply of dairy products and vegetable oils. Special attention was given to prospects for collaboration in agriculture focusing on the use of advanced technology and the exchange of experience in implementing state-of-the-art agricultural techniques.

The parties emphasised their intention to actively develop interregional partnerships to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Good-Neighbourliness and Friendly Cooperation between the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation.
