Kuban will buy more than 140 units of public transport produced in Belarus

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko and the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev discussed the issues of delivery of buses, trolleybuses and trams to the region.

«We have already supplied public transport to the region and signed a new contract for the delivery of buses for Sochi and trolleybuses for Novorossiysk. Sochi may become the first city to switch completely to electric transport. We also plan to deliver electric buses and charging stations to Krasnodar,» said Roman Golovchenko.

Veniamin Kondratyev emphasized that gas-powered transportation is important for Sochi and other resorts in the region, as it is the most environmentally friendly.

«We plan to purchase 90 tram cars from Belkommunmash. In addition, in October 2023, contracts were concluded for the purchase of 140+ buses, electric buses and trolleybuses manufactured in Belarus. I hope that in early 2024, the vehicles will operate along the designated routes in Krasnodar and our seaside resort cities,» said Veniamin Kondratyev.

The new transport will allow to renew the morally and technically obsolete municipal vehicles.

They also discussed the production of Mogilevliftmash elevators at the Minsk Tractor Plant site. This year, the official dealer of the plant has taken part in the regional program of overhaul of the apartment buildings and has replaced 30 elevators. Now they are working on the parameters of the assembly production, the volume of investments, the production capacity, in order to install the equipment and start the assembly next year.

Roman Golovchenko also said that the tourist cluster New Anapa, which is currently being created, is of interest. He noted that Belarusian builders are ready to participate in a large-scale project.
